@PJRayment This all depends on someone's understanding of nothing. I'm obviously not a theoretical physicist. We don't know what was before the big bang but it almost certainly wasn't nothing.

@PJRayment I have no need or requirement to attempt to rationalise a god into existence. You obviously do I and I have no problem with believing in a creator god if that's what you need.

I make no knowledge claims about what was before the big bang other than it is pure speculation. I see no evidence of a god is not a claim of knowledge. Perfectly happy for you to have faith in a god. It is not a requirement for me. Complete and utter rubbish. It is a total myth that modern secular social democracies like Australia display a single Judeo-Christian value. Our values mostly come from Ancient Greek philosophy and predate Judeo-Christian by 500 years.
