What has morality got to do with what sex you are?
4
@whatmate2954 once again how is the determination of sex a moral question?
4
@boofuu3145 The question was about morality and sex, and what has morality got to do with how fast you swim? Simple interior design modifications can make any toilet space gender neutral. Was this your real concern or just a talking point picked up listening to ultra right wing commentary?
4
@boofuu3145 Although I understand the point of your concocted scenario, it totally fails to address the question.
3
@isa_L By what measure? Who are you to decide what another person is. Which totalitarian regime do you live in?
3
@DnB and Psy Production You are the one playing with words.
3
@boofuu3145 Provide the evidence, and your reply still fails to answer my question.
2
@isa_L You confuse sex with gender. Are you now suggesting gender roles are fixed?
2
@W B what have morals and biological sex determination got anything to do with each other?
2
@W B Right so I asked for evidence of this and a quick internet search reveals some facts. Yes the person was a biological male but is currently trans gendering and is on hormone treatments. Surgery has yet to happen. Age is irrelevant as there was not a competition factor. I personally have no knowledge of the skills or physical requirements to compete at board skating but it is a bit sexist to suggest woman and or girls can’t compete in this particular activity against men or boys or transgender women. There is nothing immoral about this opinion.
2
@DnB and Psy Production Read the thread I have already acknowledged the facts of the situation.
2
@DnB and Psy Production just who's parroting dogma now.
2
@W B Your inability to to explain your position is what is sad. If you are suggesting a presupposition of morality. Then I am presupposing you are just wrong.
2
@mynamechanged Yep I’ll accept that, and acknowledging one’s own sex is not a lie whether you believe it or not.
2
@W B Happy to explain to anyone anytime, sex and it’s complications, as we learn more and more about how it works.
2
@mynamechanged Yes I fully accept my spelling, grammar, and vocabulary are far from perfect. I also understand your limited knowledge of humanity.
2
@whatmate2954 I fail to see what your comment has to do with suggestions that it immoral to accept what sex you are. I understand you maybe factually incorrect, but cannot understand why someone would consider the act of transgendering to be immoral, other than they are some sort of religious fundamentalist bigot.
2
@isa_L So apart from the obvious biological differences, it is accepted scientific fact gender dysphoria is a real thing. There are grey areas and you seem to be only able to deal with black and white. That is just sad.
1
@isa_L So you will deny a person the ability to be who they believe themselves to be. Once again which totalitarian regime do you live in?
1
@isa_L Did you just publicly admit that there are good and bad genders? If you did I suggest you delete all your comments immediately as you a just a misogynist.
1
@mynamechanged LMFAO, that was good, very funny.
1
@DnB and Psy Production The ignorance you display in the lack of understanding and knowledge of how language works and develops is astounding.
1
@stevelozevski8151 It's unfortunate you don't have DnBs wit. Just idiotic vacuous gibberish and emjois. Real clever.
1
@W B I’m not sure you would know morality if it jumped up and bit you on the arse.
1
@mynamechanged You are not good with grey are you. I understand your entire being is consumed with fairness in sport, unfortunately this is such a minor issue. Tell me how many transgender athletes have competed at a Olympic Games since transgender athletes have been allowed?
1
@mynamechanged Answer. 2. One came last the other 2nd last. Not an issue.
1
@whatmate2954 I asked a simple question four days ago about what is immoral about acknowledging what sex you are and in that time nobody has even come close to answering it. Some have complained about fairness in sport which is a legitimate concern however has nothing to do with the supposed morality of sex determination. If as you suggest this has something to do with religion and the supposed “god created man and women” then great but nobody did. What exactly am I wrong about? That sex determination is a moral question? Fine show me it is.
