The Trump admin sighed the deal. All US military out by May 21. How do you in any logical way blame Biden without blaming Trump as well. It just makes no sense.

Trump signed the withdrawal deal how do you not logically blame him as well?

Steve Steve The Biden administrations handling of the Trump deal has been disgraceful. The trigger however was pulled by Trump when he set the date with the Taliban of May 21 for a complete US Military withdrawal. Biden ate a shit sandwich that Trump served up but he didn't have to. The deal Trump signed with the enemy was a crap deal, and he clearly had no clue or did Pompeo for that matter. Look at things critically instead of worshiping your demagogue.

@fourleafclover2885 He signed a deal from weakness and with the enemy. He set a date with little conditions on the enemy to abide by that set the groundwork for the catastrophe unfolding before our eyes. Apart from the tax cuts Trump had failed legislatively on just about everything else, affordable health care act, infrastructure bill, and the virus he knew was about to really take effect and so in February of 2020 he was desperate for a political win at any cost and so he struck a deal quickly with little thought, so he could look good, and the people of Afghanistan have paid the price. This of course doesn't get Biden off the hook as he could have renegotiated with the Afgan government instead of the enemy and made significant change to the withdrawal either by including harsher measures on the Taliban or delaying the withdrawal. So yes they are both to blame for this humiliation.

@fourleafclover2885 In Trumps own words No deal is better than a bad deal.
1
@fourleafclover2885 To be specific he set a date for withdrawal with the enemy. The Taliban were only given essentially two conditions to meet don't let Al-Qaeda operate in Afghanistan and talk with the Afghanistan government. Trump then reduced US forces from 16000 to 2500 last year. Trump then forced the Afghanistan government to release 5000 Taliban detainees last year, many of whom are now showing up as leading the Taliban. So like I said he gave Biden a shit sandwich to eat.

@kaxiwa Your reply to "the person" is factually wrong on a couple of points making it nonsensical. Firstly Trump signed a deal with the enemy that excluded the Afgan government and set little conditions on the Taliban that they almost immediately broke. Then Trump withdrew 13500 troops out of Afghanistan leaving only 2500. Next he forced the Afgan government to release 5000 detainees. It is almost comical to suggest a 3 month delay by Biden gave the Taliban extra time, Trump gave them 15 months to prepare. You have a memory of the conflict in Afghanistan 2 minutes long.
1
@kaxiwa Again you are just factually incorrect. ISIS declared their caliphate in Nov 2014 and were well on the way to defeat and had lost a considerable amount of territory by Jan 17 when Trump became President and he can certainly take a good share of the victory after that. You would have to provide the evidence for the greatest economy in history. Average GDP under Trump was a good 2.9% but under Obama it was 2.7% so your claim is just fanciful. Unemployment certainly reached record lows under Trump and he can take credit for that however under Trump the average monthly employment number 287000 jobs created, under Obama it was 292000 so again great numbers but not historically great. This is just factual public data anyone can find or should know before they comment publicly. The assassination of Soleimani was a masterstoke I agree. He deserved exactly what he got.

@kaxiwa once again your replys are full of factual errors and anecdotal opinion. 8 years under Bush and gross national debt increased significantly as Bush ran deficit budgets one after the other, then Obama ran 8 deficit budgets but smaller than Bushs and although the debt grew as you rightly pointed out the overall increase slowed, and then under Trump the deficit took off again. Obama actually had four quarters of growth over 4% so your wrong again, something Trump never achieved. The rest of your reply is just your opinion and has no basis in fact. Immigration under Obama actually slowed both legal and illegal in his 8 years. I mean this is all common public knowledge the data is all easily available. Trumps four years had some successes and it also had some failures. Obama certainly had his foreign policy failures as you rightly mentioned, however you are unfortunately so wrapped up in the stupidity of parochial politics you have lost your ability to critically analyse both sides. You have your demagogue and that's as far as you can see as you just ignore inconvenient fact.
1
@kaxiwa No you are factually wrong again, the economic data source is exactly the same as the one Trump used when he claimed or quoted economic data. It is completely independent from the MSM. Once again you are trapped in you hopeless parochial politics. I am not in any way suggesting the Obama period in government was significantly lesser or greater than Bush or Trump you are, and you haven't even come close to proving that. The little data you referenced proved my point, after the GFC the economy recovered but not spectacularly and then under Trump they kept improving, nothing you said proved your comment that Trump had one of the greatest economies in history, it simply isn't true, by any measure it was just relatively average. Neither of us are economists, the difference is I'm quoting factual economic data and all you are doing is providing your biased opinion. Just humour me, which of 4 years under Trump did US GDP exceed 4%? On the understanding that GDP is the universal measure the US and the world has been using for the last hundred years to measure economic growth. Or quote for me the average US growth since the end of WWII?
1
@kaxiwa You are clutching at straws as I have proved beyond doubt that Obama's economic numbers do not vary significantly fromTrumps which again you claimed was the greatest in history which you now realise was just demonstrably false and you have gone off on what is called a strawman fallacy in an attempt to justify to yourself your flawed logic. I don't give a crap what dodgy campaign slogan Obama ran on or the specific economic conditions under each President had to deal with. I'm not defending Obama I agree growth after the GFC was not good enough. I'm pointing out to you your argument is completely wrong. I can help you out with the data, average yearly GDP growth since WWII 3.5%. The four years under Trump 2.4%, 2.9%, 2.2%, -3.49%. So in no year Did Trump reach even the average growth since WWII. Keep trying but honestly it's like shooting ducks in a barrel.

@darrendaine4914 What in Trumps deal has Biden failed in? You have no idea do you? Trumps deal had the US military out by May 21 as long as the Taliban did not support Al-Queda and have some talks with the Afgan government which the Taliban both met. So you do not have a clue what you are talking about. Or do you admit the Trump deal was complete crap and Biden should have ripped it up and committed the US for another 20 years. What is it? I'm no fan of Biden his administration has failed spectacularly in Afghanistan but park Your demagoguery of Trump because it completely clouds your judgment.
1
@toddbrown242 That was the timeline Trump signed up to and his plan, all Biden did was delay it by 4 months. In no way shape or form am I letting Biden of the hook, his administration failed in its duty of care to the Afgan people. How in in any way is your comment even remotely sensible without including Trumps failings. Strawman my arse. Look at your own worshipping of Trump without any critical analysis.
1
@darrendaine4914 So I'll say this again for the third time as clearly you were unable to understand my two previous comments in which I did not make any defence of Bidens poor if not disgraceful handling of Trumps plan. I'm not a Democrat and have been a conservative my entire life but I am not a Trumpist. You are the perfect example of the stupidity and parochial politics that dominates the US now. You realise you argument is just factually wrong and go off on what is called a strawman man argument about Iran deals, Russia and the keystone pipeline which is a informal logical fallacy and just shows what a poor knowledge of the subject you have. Go back to your demagogue. Read the Trump signed withdrawal agreement with the Taliban, Biden followed it almost to the letter.
1
@darrendaine4914 LMFAO, you haven't even read the four page agreement that Trump signed have you? You have absolutely no idea what you are even talking about. When faced with the facts you have just resorted to outright lies or just made stuff up in your head that you think is real and fits what your limited knowledge of the subject. If you knew nothing about the subject why did you comment?
1
@darrendaine4914 You haven't got even a clue what was in that four page document as you never read it and you have the chutzpah to say I'm wrong. Please just state for me one condition Trump placed on the Taliban in the deal he signed in May y 2020. Just one.
