  1. No you misunderstand the economic definition of a recession. A recession is two consecutive quarters of negative GDP. What you are quoting is the per capita GDP. This is not how a recession is defined. Australia also had negative per capita growth under the Morrison government where we also actually did have a recession. You need to read a book on economics.
