Factually wrong. It was the single parent payment, nothing to do with mothers and it wasn’t a week later the legislation passed the same day as the misogyny speech which had nothing to do or about mothers and families.

By installed you show a lack of understanding of a parliamentary democracy where the people do not select the PM the parliament does. In three years of economic growth despite a worldwide recession in which every other OCED country went into recession our employment grew. Her government despite being in minority achieved record legislation including the clean energy bill, the NDIS, the NBN, mining tax, and plain packaging tobacco. Add to that the Gonski education reforms, and the Royal Commission into child abuse, and I doubt you have a clue what you are talking about.

A total lie

@deanhunter1753 The Liberal government even ran a Royal Commission into the unions and it found PM Gillard did absolutely nothing wrong in her time as a lawyer for the unions. I admit I am defending ex PM Gillard, what is your excuse for being totally ignorant on the matter?

@thewayneflyinghigh9128 There is no doubt the MRRT was not as successful as it could have been. Due to the extraordinary resources of the mining industry, they were able to lobby for a reduced amount, and it never raised the projected income. Nevertheless, it was idealogical sound in my opinion to tax excess profits to help pay for pensions, reduce small business taxes, and create public infrastructure. It certainly didn't stop mining investment as its critics suggested, and it would have contributed to a smaller deficit if it still existed.

@thewayneflyinghigh9128 Yes I understand you opposed it. As explained earlier, I am of the opinion that mining companies don't pay enough tax, particularly some of the big multi-nationals.
