@geraldcroft9020 China has seen the biggest take up of renewable energy worldwide but has an enormous appetite for energy as it grows economically, I'm not excusing it's use of fossil fuels it's just a reality. If it was up to me I would be restricting coal use and investing more heavily into renewables, but I accept the reality of the situation an understand it has to be a measured and planned transition to renewables.

@mrradman2986 Just using my description of your comment back at me achieves what? Lack of vocabulary? We have known since about 1860 how greenhouse gases effect the atmosphere and we have observed significant increases since industrialisation. It is just basic science. Tell you what you publish your scientific paper have it peer reviewed and accepted and then walk away with your Nobel prize for science as the world changes tack.

@mrradman2986 Science by its nature is never settled, there are many that don't believe in gravity, evolution, and that the earth is a not a sphere. They argue these theories continuously. Doesn't mean when I drop a pen it doesn't move towards the ground.

@geraldcroft9020 Your data is incorrect all LCOE and even recent studies of LCOS show wind and solar is significantly cheaper to produce electricity than coal.
