I'm in Australia and we have a constitutional monarchy where the head of state has zero real power and all the actual power is rested in the parliament. The King of England literally can do nothing to effect Australia. Our PM appoints and dismisses a GG at his whim. We hold free and fair elections at federal, state, and local level. It's a pretty good system.
