Could you please reference a specific failed climate prediction. Thankyou.

@southern-samurai No I explicitly stated reference the specific failed claim, not your rambling unsubstantiated generalisations. Reference the specific scientific paper that claimed the Maldives would be under water by 2020. You claimed it, it should be easy for you to provide some evidence.
1
@merlinite- Again reference the specific scientific paper that claimed this. Otherwise your comment is ignored as a fallacious strawman. Which glaciers would have disappeared? Again be specific which scientific paper claimed this?
1
@merlinite- So the World Meteorological Organisation released a report that claimed the glaciers are retreating and could disappear by 2040. This report noted that the Furtwangler glacier had already shrunk by 70%. Your claim was just factually incorrect. According to NASA the ice on Kilimanjaro had decreased by 85% between 1912 and 2011. If this is the data you were referring to, then I accept it.
1
@gerrycooper56 Again can you please reference the data source for your claim, otherwise it is just your personal opinion. I have referenced a WMO report.
1
@merlinite- Do you understand the nuances of language. You claimed "gone by 2030". The report actually says "could be gone by 2040". You were either mistaken or deliberately trying to misinform me. Either way you were just factually wrong.
1
@gerrycooper56 I made no claims either way. The ice/snow/glaciers of Kilimanjaro may well have been decreasing before industrialisation, just provide the evidence of this. It is a simple request. As to the cause (not my opinion) the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence is that greenhouse gases ( a science we fully understand) introduced into the atmosphere due to the burning of fossil fuels have contributed to an usually fast warming in a very short period of the planet. Again this isn't my opinion it is the accepted science due to the evidence.
1
@southern-samurai Could you please reference the published peer reviewed scientific paper that claimed all polar ice would be gone by 2014. Thankyou.
1
@southern-samurai I have no idea what you are talking about in relation to dam construction. An Australia Institute report released in 2019 has governments funding in part 20 to 30 dams that had recently been constructed in Australia.
1
@southern-samurai Again you would have to reference some scientific data to support your claims of Polar bear numbers. Currently the IUCN/SSC PBSG estimates that there has been no increase in polar bear subpopulations over the long term >2 to >23 years and that 3 subpopulations have decreased. There was considerable resources put into Polar bear population management in the early 70s as they had become endangered. The scientific assessment (again not my opinion) is the decreasing Artic ice is their most significant threat.

@gerrycooper56 Yeah that’s right, all you have is vague generalities and unsubstantiated claims that is evidence of nothing other than your opinion, which you are perfectly entitled to but like rectums we all have one.

No wild arse conspiracy theories there!
1
@Gavin-qh7li OMG seriously geoengineering, only the total nutters believe in chemtrails. Only the completely insane absolute fruit heads claim their nutjob conspiracy theories are true. Of course you are entitled to your opinion but please seek help from your mental health professional.
1
This particular wild ass conspiracy theory displays a superb lack of understanding of how science works. It has been completely debunked.
1
Yep this will bring out the chem trail loonies.

And the conspiracy nutters
