Factually incorrect. There are companies in the US recycling turbine blades into cement for concrete construction. Look it up.

@Leo555ZZZ In regards to the recycling of wind turbine blades my point was simply to fact-check the original comment, which was demonstrably false. In relation to the cost both environmentally and financially numerous LCOE show wind generated electricity is significantly cleaner and cheaper than fossil fuels. Numerous studies of bird kills by wind turbines v fossil fuels show fossil fuels have killed hundreds of millions more birdlife than wind turbine strikes. In fact do a check for me and tell me what powers the HQ of the Royal Society for birdlife in England (hint it is a wind turbine). Are you suggesting that gas and coal powered electricity generation has never caused a forest fire? That’s a big call.

@rhyno1740 My response to Leo was clear and precise. Wind turbines malfunctioning and catching fire has been well reported in the media and at no stage did I suggest otherwise. I merely highlighted the inaccuracies of two previous statements regarding wind turbines blades. To suggest that energy production from fossil fuels is cleaner than renewables flies in the face of virtually all scientific research.
