  2. So just a fact-check here. The Migration Act 1958 (Legislation introduced by a Liberal government) indefinite detention clause has been found to be unconstitutional by the High court 6 to 1. No appeal case closed. Nothing to do with Labor.

  3.  @GazGuitarz  So the High Court forms an essential element of our constitution. In a 6 to 1 decision the court found the Migration Act 1958 regarding indefinite detention unconstitutional. The High court was specifically created as part of our constitution to determine exactly these constitutional questions. If the dimwit Liberals had written the legislation properly in the first place then there would have been no scope for any legal challenge.
