@LukeXMV DD number is spot on. You claimed 5 million on disability and have been shown to be demonstrably wrong. Just quote your reference to 5 million on disability. My reference is the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. 746000 as at June 2019. Your figure of 5 million is a rough estimate of total people disabled in Australia, and in no way reflects reality in regards to employment. Many disabled people work productively without any income support at all.

@LukeXMV I'm sure there are some. There are numerous welfare and employment schemes available. With employment so low it is more a personal decision than an inability to seek and gain employment.

@LukeXMV I personally don't have an issue with particular welfare payments being means tested, but I understand your point which is fair enough.

@LukeXMV Yes that is a good/fair point, but you are guessing and the 746000 number is considerably more accurate than the 5 million you quoted. I do agree with you there are many hidden disabled people wishing to work, just not in the numbers you suggested.
