Factually incorrect. The concept that One Notion represents the average Australian is patently absurd. One Notion regularly polls about 5% nationally at elections. Her opinion and character most definitely do not reflect the core values of Australians and this is demonstrated clearly in One Notion lack of political success.

@datsuntwosixty160 Keep on believing that and all is good in the world.

@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 I'm sorry but your reply is just nonsensical incoherent rubbish. A federal election is in fact an absolute indication of what the voting public want and One Notion regularly poll nationally at 5%. It is just an idiotic conspiracy theory to suggest all the independent polling companies conduct rigged surveys. Clearly the only voices you can hear are the ones inside your head talking to you.

@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 One Notion voters are fringe dwellers and your comment reflects this reality.

I have no understanding why you would consider her point genius, you clearly have no understanding of the difference between political representation in a parliamentary democracy where elected politicians represent their electorate not their personal cultural background and a indigenous voice to parliament. By your logic then all the white middle aged wealthy males in parliament are only representing white privileged men. Is this your belief? Have you any understanding of our parliamentary democracy? Do you understand the difference between the House of Reps and the Senate?

@smedleyfarnsworth263 Yes, indigenous people are part of whatever electorate they reside in and are represented by that electorate’s politician. Which is exactly my point, in that the politician is not representing explicitly an indigenous view but the overall view of the electorate be it from their own political viewpoint (Green, Liberal, National). Any politician can only bring their own personal experience to the parliament they can’t bring an experience or knowledge they don’t possess. My analogy might have been clumsy but it was not flawed. This is why a indigenous voice is fundamentally different from political representation.
