@guitarmatricide4834 No it provides a reasonable guide to voting intentions. As I said the same polls had Trump well ahead of Biden 3 weeks ago, so were they inaccurate then? Next the polling on Clinton was accurate, she easily won the popular vote in 2016. What Trump was able to do was to just win in the 6 battle ground states by a total of only 89000 votes and win the electoral college, which is the goal. The polls still have Trump slightly ahead in 5 of the swing states, so he is still a good chance of winning, but if the trend continues he is in trouble. Polls provide information on voter intention. Ignore them at your own peril.

@rameshhansaravendra In 2016 the polls showed Clinton winning the popular vote which she did. So the polls were accurate. Trump marginally won 6 swing states which gave him the Presidency.
