The sun shines 24/7 the wind blows 24/7, it’s how our planet works.

@yasi4877 Yes, I saw a movie about that once, and your comment and the movie have the same characteristics: fiction.

Yeah nah. Not simple at all. The PWRs used to power US SSN and SSBN is secret and will never be shared for commercial use. You are comparing apples with sewing machines.

That not what the economists say.

@ I made no argument that renewables are not subsidised, like the fossil fuel industry is, to the tune of $12 billion a year. Factually incorrect the AMEO has costed the transmission lines and it is in its yearly report. Read it. Batteries will become more prevalent, so what. In case you didn’t notice there was a war in Ukraine and Russian gas and oil was embargoed, there was worldwide inflation (do you live in a bubble) that is common public knowledge.

@paddleboatman3767 At various times, the IPA has been funded by the tobacco industry to defend tobacco use and is currently funded by Gina Rinehart to oppose all aspects of climate change science. That's who you referred to as an authority on science. Hilarious.

@paddleboatman3767 No, the CSIRO gencost report was critiqued, and as good science does, the CSIRO took that on board and amended and adjusted its report to reflect these criticisms. The Gina Rinehart funded IPA is incapable of such reflection. The last COP didn't recommend anything of the sort. What did happen was those countries with existing nuclear power industries agreed to increase their capacity (that wouldn't be hard as nuclear only accounts for 9% of electricity production) 122 COP countries agreed to triple their renewable production. I offered no opinion, I merely stated factually correct information.
