  2. Two separate systems. HIMARs is a medium range land based Artillery rocket weapon system. Tomahawks are a long range guided missile. They can be launched from a ship or submarine.

  3.  @bestestusername  Sorry didn't you seem to as they are two separate purchases HIMARs was 20 systems at $1.529 billion and the Tomahawk purchase is for approximately 200 missiles at a separate cost of $1.7 billion. I can't confirm but would suggest the increase in price from the original estimate would be that we have purchased additional supplies of rockets. As well the original price may have just been for the standard rocket and we have have purchased guided systems or extended range rockets all of which are more expensive.
