So one aircraft carrier is useless, as it will be down for maintenance and refits part of the time, so you need at least three to four to be able to maintain a credible force, now add to that 150 to 200 aircraft of sufficient capability, now add the DDGs, frigates, and submarines to protect the aircraft, now can you see how unrealistic it is for Australia to have a aircraft carrier fleet. Let alone the cost to our budget and the sailors and pilots to staff all that equipment. Never going to happen
