  1. Individual federal budgets are different to the National debt, they are related but you can have a surplus budget and still maintain a gross debt.

  2. @garreysellars5525  There is nothing intrinsically wrong with borrowing money as long as it stays manageable. Which hospitals and aged care facilities do you recommend we stop funding? Do we stop the aged care pension and Medicare subsidies? Add the Defence budget to that and we are back in the black in no time.
