@arroeducarlion4990 Ir you had any understanding of Foote and Tyndals work they weren't looking for greenhouse gases it was something they had observed in experiments.

@arroeducarlion4990 You do understand there was no such thing as emails in the mid 19th century?

Are you denying the known science of greenhouse gases?
1
@arroeducarlion4990 That's not my question. There was no politics involved in the series of experiments conducted in the mid 19th century that confirmed the properties of certain gases that we now call greenhouse gases. Are you denying this science?
1
@arroeducarlion4990 That was not my question. There was no politics involved in a series of experiments conducted in the mid 19th century that confirmed the properties of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, ie methane and water vapour. Are you doubting this science? If so could you please reference the published peer reviewed scientific paper that supports your claim. Thanks

@arroeducarlion4990 So you doubt the work of Foote in 1856 and Tyndalls experiments in 1859? As for peer reviewed scientific papers read this study. Climate Change and the impact of greenhouse gases: CO2 and NO, friends and foes of plant oxidative stress Raul Cassia, Macarena Nocioni, Natalia Correa-Aragunde, and Lorenzo Lamattina.

@marcolucchini8173 And your evidence of peer reviewing to being a joke is? I fully accept that scientific papers can be wrong and mistakes are made. Can you provide evidence of multiple false predictions by scientific papers. Please don’t quote Al Gore. Al Gore was a journalist and politician. He never published a scientific paper. Please reference a scientific paper that inaccurately predicted something about greenhouse gases. Thanks.
1
@arroeducarlion4990 Please quote the scientific papers claiming an Ice age in 2000 and no dams filling up. A Time magazine article and Andrew Bolt misquoting Tim Flannery is not evidence of anything other than the thin veneer of you argument.
1
@arroeducarlion4990 It is good that you are sceptical, however sometimes people are so opened minded thier brains fall out.
1
@arroeducarlion4990 This is the quote from Tim Flannery in context. “We’re already seeing the initial impacts and they include a decline in the winter rainfall zone across southern Australia, which is clearly an impact of climate change, but also a decrease in run-off. Although we’re getting say a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas of Australia, that’s translating to a 60 per cent decrease in the run-off into the dams and rivers. That’s because the soil is warmer because of global warming and the plants are under more stress and therefore using more moisture. So even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and our river systems”.

@marcolucchini8173 Judith Curry, so what, a respected published scientist who agrees with the global warming that has been factually observed but is sceptical of the cause. Her opinion on the cause or lack of one goes against the vast majority. Curry has claimed that global warming had stopped on numerous occasions only to be proved wrong time and time again. Curry claimed scientists have tried to hide a decline in global temperatures while knowing full well the data was from northern tree rings and this data is openly discussed in IPPC reports. She claims there is no consensus while numerous studies have proven 97% of climate experts agree humans are causing global warming.

@marcolucchini8173 Judith Curry has claimed on numerous occasions since 1998 that global warming has stopped despite clear data it hasn't. She confused scientists hiding cooling data with northern tree ring data and the fact the IPCC openly discussed this in its reports. She claims there is no consensus despite numerous studies that show 97% of climate experts agree humans are causing global warming.

@Maxindifference I was referring to the known effect that the so-called greenhouse gases have on the atmosphere. This effect has been observed and easily repeated in numerous experiments. We have known about this since the mid 19th century when these properties were discovered and it was hypothesised then that they may affect the atmosphere. You are perfectly welcome to disagree with this scientific theory, please reference your published peer reviewed scientific paper or quote some other persons work, otherwise your opinion is worthless.

@Maxindifference That's fine I'm sure everyone reading your contributions on the comments section here now fully understands where you come from. That's all I needed to know and now you have expressed your opinion it needs or requires any rebuttal. Thankyou.
