Defence has always had issues recruiting when the economy is humming and unemployment is low.

@buildmotosykletist1987 You won't find me defending Campbell and it shouldn't have taken Labor two years to find a replacement. My concern is Johnston's age and experience. In my opinion someone much younger and not part of the current clique who would really shake things up. Johnston will just be more of the same.

@sotiriosnovatsis4529 What a load of crap. Give me just one instance or incident where the defence of this country has been compromised because of a policy of inclusion. What a complete and utter idiotic comment. Fresh ideas are needed not more of the same. Johnston will no doubt do a competent job, but he has been a political defence insider for years.
