Australia can easily accommodate a population of 100 million.

@brianterence3211 Just spitballing here, but currently the latest census data has 2.6% of the population in Australia as Muslim, by what bizarre method do you imagine if our population did grow to 100 million would 100% of the population be muslim?

@brianterence3211 Your attempt at understanding demographics is incorrect factually and simplistic in analysis. In the 2016 census the average children per muslim women was 3.03. The average Christian women 2.11 and overall all women 2.02. Those numbers are for women in Australia 45-49. Currently the ABS has the total fertility rate 1.81 babies per women. Islamic, Christian, and Jewish faiths do have a slightly higher rate than this. The difference between 2.02 and 1.81 is the census relates to to completed fertility and ABS figures are current trends. With 50% of the population Christian and only 2.6% Muslim even with the birth rate of 3.03 not the 7 you have no evidence for it would take generations and generations for Muslims to outnumber Christians and then if you take into account the increasing secularism in Australia as more and more Muslims realise the stupidity of religious faith and leave it then clearly it is you who doesn't care about the facts or proper analysis.

@brianterence3211 Yep no argument with that either stat shows that our current birthrate means we aren't replacing ourselves. Some see that as a problem others don't. There are public policies you can implement that can change that stat either way. My concern was only with your claim that Muslims could overtake Christians/secular, and technically you are correct but it would take literally hundreds of years on current stat's, and once you try and start predicting hundreds of years into the future well really what's the point and how useful is that?

@brianterence3211 Firstly there as been a slight decline in abortions nationally since 2013 (5.1%) secondly over 70% of viable fertilised eggs (zygots) ie humans are flushed out in the menstrual cycle, if a god designed this or has any control over it then it hasn't got a clue or is deliberately malignant. Thirdly since the late 50s when fertility peaked worldwide the birthrate has been going down as women gained control of their bodies and became better educated.

@brianterence3211 The birth control pill has nothing to do with it, the natural rate of prenatal loss is approximately 70%. The pill prevents fertilisation so no zygote is created. This is science 101.
