Your argument is nonsensical. 12% of the world’s trade passes through the Red Sea. That is literally $trillions of dollars, even if the US used 500 ESSM it would be a bargain price paid.

@williamsharp2532 Factually incorrect. Both our frigates and destroyers are armed with RIM162 evolved sea sparrow SAM. These missiles have a proven anti missile capability and have already been used by US warships to shoot down numerous Houthi drones. When you say “apparently” to what information source were you referring to because they completely misled you, why I have no idea, apparently they are stupid.
