None of this is hard to understand. We have known since the late 1860s how greenhouse gases can effect the atmosphere. We have observed a rapid rise of CO2 in the atmosphere, we have observed both sea level rise and average global temperature rise. If it swims like duck, looks like a duck, it probably is a duck.

And your evidence for this is?

@user-ew6ky3go7q How does a mini ice age in the 1500s have anything to do with observable average temperatures today? Seems your heart is writing cheques your brain is unable to cash.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q Average global temperature rise is currently approximately 0.18degrees C. following are numerous references; Global Temperatures Change; James Hansen, Makkito Sato, Reto Reddy and Martin Medina-Elizade Sep 2006. A 20th Century acceleration in global sea-level rise Church & White, Geophysical Research letters Jan 2006. Improved estimates of upper-ocean warming and multi-decadal sea level rise Domingues et al 2008. Evaluating the performance of past climate model projections Hausfather et al 2019 I posted a simple factual comment and now backed it with factual data. All you have provided is emotional responses and an argument from ignorance, and have chutzpah to ask for evidence. Read a book, do some research, Learn.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q That was all empirical evidence. I made no comment about other eras. Now in a vain attempt to justify your ignorance you turn to strawman arguments. You asked for detailed evidence I provided it. You are disingenuous at best, and we will leave it at that.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q I have no idea WTF you are on about now. You have gone off on some emotional conspiracy laden nonsensical rant. Any sensible discussion has now been lost, and we will leave it at that.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q WTF is Greta and tell China what. I posted a simple factually correct comment which despite your hysterical rants you have not refuted, and we will leave it at that.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q How I dare what? You are the one who tried to personalise it with childish attempted barbs about Greta Thunberg and then have the chutzpah to get offended.
1
@farmerjohn6526 So we are in agreement. Changes in the atmosphere are and have been observed. Thankyou.
1
@voxac30withstrat I’m not sure what that has to do with observable changes to the atmosphere, but thankyou for your contribution.
1
@voxac30withstrat A classic argument from ignorance, rendering you comment nonsensical gibberish. I will post a series of published peer reviewed scientific papers that prove beyond reasonable doubt the average sea level rise since the late 19th century. Thankyou for your interest in this subject and openness to learn.

@voxac30withstrat Read the following scientific papers; Improved estimates of upper-ocean warming and multi-decadal sea level rise Domingues et al 2008 A 20th century acceleration in global sea-level rise Church & White, geophysical research letters, Jan 2006 How sea level is measured New scientist magazine Sea-level rise due to polar ice sheet mass loss during the past 695 warm periods Dutton et al 2015 This is a good start, let me know when you have finished as there are several thousand others I can direct you to. Once again thankyou for the interest in this subject.

@voxac30withstrat Here are a few more that prove conclusively beyond all reasonable doubt sea level rises; Rapid escalation of coastal flood exposure in US municipalities from sea level rise Scott Kulp and Ben Strauss 2017 Modelling sea level rise impacts on storm surges along US coasts Tebaldi, Strauss and Zervas 2012 Sea level changes under increasing atmospheric CO2 in a transient coupled ocean-atmosphere GCM experiment Journal of climate 6 2247-2262 Sea levels, land levels and tide gauges. Emery & Aubrey 1991 Again thanks for your interest in learning.

@user-ew6ky3go7q Fair cop, however my wife works in the electricity business and all our power comes from renewable sources.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q I called it nothing other than observable changes in the atmosphere.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q Yes I understand you are making assumptions about the atmospheric observations I am merely experiencing, and your qualifications for doing so are? I have referenced multiple Independently published peer reviewed scientific papers authored by a range of climate scientists. I acknowledge you have an opinion as valid as it may be. I express no opinion other than the overwhelming scientific evidence from climate scientists.

@user-ew6ky3go7q My wife works in the industry and we are able to choose our power provider. She is quite clever and regularly checks on our service. In the market we are in you don't necessarily have to be off grid. Yes the are periods and circumstances where we are forced to accept fossil fuel energy but this is not by choice. As the grid accepts more renewables this will become less and less. You of course understand that carbon footprint was a term invented by the fossil fuel industry, specifically BP to move the responsibility and guilt of CO2 emissions from the polluters (BP) to the consumers (you) in the mid 90s. It worked a treat as demonstrated by your attempt to guilt trip me for using electricity. How stupid do you feel now knowing you have taken the bait, hook line and sinker by a multinational corporation. Sorry just the facts.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q Just did a quick check and 18% of electricity production right this second is renewable in the market where i live so yes. But yes I accept your point that the very same market is using coal and gas as well.
1
@user-ew6ky3go7q Fair cop, can’t argue with those points.
1
@Mrbobinge I wholeheartedly agree you your assessment of the industrial revolution and the good elements of free market capitalist economic system and so eloquently said in such a complimentary style. Thankyou for agreeing with my observations.
