@mikeharrison3618 I don't give a rats arse about the morality of electricity production be it moral or immoral I just want the cheapest power bill possible, and that's solar and wind.

Of course coal plants never catch on fire.

LCOE studies prove your comment false. Wind turbines are economically and environmentally significantly better than fossil fuels. A wind turbine today lasts 25 years.

@mikeharrison3618 LCOE studies take this into account and wind is still cleaner and cheaper and eventually green energy will be used to produce the electricity that is used in the construction of renewable infrastructure.

@rogerthat487 No problems. I will reference Lazards latest LCOE study, it is available on the internet and clearly shows your opinion is wrong. Happy for you to reference a source for your data.

Numerous scientific studies have proven your comment a myth. While some birds do die through blade strikes literally millions more are dying from the pollution from fossil fuels. Do some research.

@robertseavor4304 Tell me what does the HQ of the Royal Society for the protection of birds in Berkshire use to produce its electricity. I’ll save you the time, a wind turbine. Yep that’s right. Your comment about seabird life under threat from wind turbines is just fallacious nonsense.

@robertseavor4304 You would need to reference that particular piece for it to have validity.

Wind turbine blades are currently 100% recyclable into cement for the construction industry.
1
Factually incorrect. LCOE studies prove wind is significantly cheaper at producing electricity than fossil fuels. Secondly wind turbine blades are currently being recycled into cement products for the construction industry, and the rest of the metal parts are just as 99% recyclable as any electrical component is.
1
Factually wrong. 99% of a wind turbine blade can be recycled into cement products for the construction industry and there are companies in the US doing just that.
