@SantosdeMuerte Factually incorrect. The suicide rate actually decreased by 6% during lockdowns. The incidence of mental issues went up as people had to deal with isolation and reported incidence of depression certainly increased. Overall though the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021 the actual overall fatality rate in Australia went down and our life expectancy went up. This is all public knowledge you can access through the ABS.

@SantosdeMuerte So no actual evidence only your personal experience which is a classic anecdotal fallacy and as such is dismissed as nonsensical rubbish. Don't take this personally it is just a gaping flaw in your logic.

@SantosdeMuerte OK so here is my take from my own personal experience in the industry I worked for 35 years, hence is fallacious by nature. While the people I worked with stayed in the job our suicide rate was below the national average and as soon as they left and got a job elsewhere their suicide rate jumped to well above the average depending slightly on thier experience. So this is only conjecture but during the lockdowns people had family close by and generally had support handy so were less likely to act and or be successful in that act. It is as good as theory as yours which despite what you said would require a vast conspiracy across the nation to manipulate the data. Jobkeeper also keep the vast majority with sufficient funds to live.
