  2.  @RogueElementMkII  Yep see your technical point there and you are correct. All I know is we use them (HK417) and have so since Afghanistan. I mucked around with one and put a magazine down range years ago, so not a lot of experience but I remember I was impressed with the build quality. Again I was never comparing them 5.56. Many Armies still use 7.62 in the assault rifle category.

  3.  @EL-FUKKO  So the previous government identified an increase in defence personnel and failed to achieve it. The current government is also finding it difficult to even maintain defence numbers. It is not Albos problem and to suggest so is just idiotic partisan politics. The defence of Australia is all our problem. Blaming Albo is simplistic stupidity. I always found the HK417 a fine assault weapon, but the EF88 is damn good.

  5.  @RogueElementMkII  I didn’t. However they are both military grade assault rifles and used as such, and yes you are entitled to that opinion, and again I didn’t compare them I just commented they were both good.
