@ No, you are wrong and misunderstand how the NEM works. Fossil fuels (coal) still are the majority supplier and gas is supporting coal.

@ No completely false. The reason electricity is expensive at the moment is the spot price of gas increased so much after the war in Ukraine and has remained high due to supply issues. The market price for electricity is set by the most expensive. This has been fully explained by the AEMO.

@landkmarjoram6163 No. Factually incorrect, in the short, medium, and long term renewables are cheaper than fossil, or nuclear fuels. Fossil fuels still dominate the Australian NEM, that is why your electricity bills are so high. You are confusing wholesale generation costs with retail costs.
