@davidhoward5392 Hey I wasn’t being sarcastic. I was honestly agreeing with you. We don’t let the politicians hog the debate. Yes rereading my comment it could be taken as sarcastic but I was honestly being trying to be optimistic.

These are all legitimate questions that a mature social democracy like ours can handle in an open discussion and solutions can be found to all of them.

Provide the evidence that the AEC has engaged in any corrupt activity of any sort. Just one recorded incident of a AEC official in an election or referendum of any sort in Australia that has been convicted in a court.

@russellparratt9859 See this is where we disagree, as much or as little as I agree or disagree with your opinion of the Morrison and Andrews government it should not be up to one person to decide unless you are happy with totalitarian dictatorships. Personally as flawed as democracies are I do perfer them.

@davidhoward5392 Oh I definitely agree with you there, I'm not sure either, I just hope we can.

@johnhsmith9207 And once again your answer is no I have no evidence only wild conspiracy theory, and we will leave it at that.

But does it work? At the moment our head of state is an English Queen and is passed down through a system called chance of birth. Surely we as Australians can come up with a system that at least has an Aussie in the top spot.

@politenessman3901 Never said she wasn't only that the Monarch is not Australian by birth and a mature country can decide for its self whether it what's that risk if there is any risk at all, which I doubt.
1
@politenessman3901 Good strawman making your reply nonsensical. I said Australian, once a person is a citizen of this country and lives here, they should be entitled to be head of state, not the eldest born child born on the other side of the world who will never live here.

@politenessman3901 Josh would make a fine head of state if that's what Australia decided.

@politenessman3901 what a ridiculously absurd subjective comment about incompetent governments. I'll chuck in Abbott, Turnbull Morrison, Howard, Fraser, McMahon Gorton, and Holt government as well all totally useless and incompetent.
1
@politenessman3901 And you show a shocking lack of respect for Australians to choose their system of government.
