Based on the IEA own average cost of construction $perKWh and the CSIRO research 7 X PWRs in Australia would cost at a minimum over $100 billion and couldn’t possibly be delivered in the next 20 years. The AEMO research, study, and reports clearly states new infrastructure required for renewables at $17 billion in the next 10 years. All power infrastructure either renewable or nuclear/fossil fuel requires maintenance and replacement costs. Why did you not highlight the costs of maintaining and replacing/extending the life of nuclear PWR.

  3. LCOE studies by LAZARDs show renewables + firming to be significantly cheaper than large scale nuclear and as yet proven SMR at producing electricity. The AEMO ISP which is published every two years clearly states energy reliability (or as some people call it, but it is an outdated term, base load power) can be achieved with renewables.
