  1. $600 billion of that national debt is Abbott, Turnbull, and Morrison governments. Rudd and Gillard the rest. The current government has not added to the national debt. Household debt is currently approximately $2.25 trillion. Inflation is at about 3.5%. Debt is essential and important, it allows us to buy homes and education. It allows governments to provide services ie hospitals and Medicare. Every economist on the planet (that maybe an exaggeration) considers our debt to GDP% to be perfectly manageable.
