Yes he got off on a technicality. The jury and the appeal court that witnessed the testimony agreed he was guilty.

@franktully3065 On a principle of legal technicality Pell got special leave granted before the court. The High Court didn't consider the actual evidence that a jury unanimously convicted on and an appeals court agreed with.

@franktully3065 Yes a legal technicality. The High Court didn’t consider the evidence, that was not the substance of Pell’s appeal. The jury heard the evidence and unanimously convicted him of sexual assault. He will always be remembered as the rapist who got away with it.

@vivrowe2763 In the words of George Costanza "Its not a lie if you truly believe it." My comment was never meant to be taken seriously it was more a tribute to the RWNJ conspiracy theorists. Not unlike those that now claim some sort of Vatican conspiracy to mistreat Pells body post mortem. Thankyou for your interest.
