So not a clue on Australian history. When social welfare systems kicked off in Australia in the late 30s early 40s Indigenous people were specifically not allowed access to those schemes. That sit down monies you talk of was only available to whites. It was not until to early 70s just after the 67 referendum did indigenous people gain access to pensions the rest of Australians had for 30 years. Sheer ignorance.

Then change the constitution as it is very specifically racist.

The constitution is already race based. It was written that way to allow a white only immigration policy.

An honest statement from the heart by the indigenous community to engage with all Australians and you dismiss it as nefarious says more about the blackness of your soul than it does about the intent of the indigenous community.

@daniellebcooper7160 WTF haven't you heard of the Uluru statement of the Heart. That was directly from the First peoples, no political influence at all.
1
@daniellebcooper7160 Just factually incorrect with absolutely no evidence to your statement whatsoever. It is just something you made up in your imagination.
1
@daniellebcooper7160 From the Uluṟu statement from the heart, which came out of a 10 year consultative process amongst the indigenous community. Tha ALP had absolutely nothing to do with it.
1
@daniellebcooper7160 Indigenous communities can remain to stay dry if they wish, without government enforcement. Indigenous communities can also chose to maintain income support measures without the strict controls of welfare cards. You seem to not understand the current proposals.

How is giving people freedom to chose for themselves Marxist?

@gregmatthies8128 As asked for in the Uluṟu statement the indigenous community specifically asked for a voice only. It will have no legislative ability, no veto power, and no financial delegation. It is merely an advisory body that the government of the day can listen to or not.
1
@gregmatthies8128 Not if you have personally experienced on numerous occasions and have read about the atrocious racism our indigenous population have endured. I have read about the history and the struggle aborigines have had to deal with in an attempt to be recognised in our and their own countries constitution. Just the facts.
1
@gregmatthies8128 All the evidence clearly shows a determined racist effort by the founders of the constitution to exclude the aboriginal population from representation, and yet you refuse the indigenous community a chance to repair this obscenity. Yes you are right that is your choice.
1
@mariagatisson8867 No. I'm staying and changing the constitution.

@savagegfry Sections 25, 51 (xxiv), and 125 were all explicitly racist, and allowed racist legislation like the White Australia policy to be passed perfectly legal. Some of those sections have been amended some have been removed, and yes the racial discrimination act nullifies most of it, but it still remains and must be completely removed from our founding document.
