@saltyaussie7702 Factcheck: Current debt $895 billion, forecast debt 2025-26 $1.131 trillion. You are quoting an incorrect figure and claiming it to be a current number. You are wrong.

@actualfacts1055 You can add to that Defence spending, public hospitals, all social welfare spending, Medicare, fossil fuel subsidies, unaffordable tax cuts, education spending, foreign aid, direct industry support payments, in fact all federal government spending.

2 minutes of research. NDIS $40 billion annually, Total national debt $895 billion. Both these figures are from publicly available documents in the internet.

@actualfacts1055 Your reply is all opinion and little fact. Current and forecast debt is perfectly manageable. This is not my opinion it is the opinion of economists and the IMF.

@actualfacts1055 I am not claiming any unsubstantiated opinion, any offering on "what if" is just fantasyworld hypothetical and is pointless. You do understand the difference between spending on critical infrastructure like roads and airports and unnecessary financial support to companies that used that money to return profits to shareholders as did the LNP with jobkeeper payments. This is something Labor never agreed to Labor has not banned coal or gas projects, your statement is a falsehood. What Labor has done is stop and Federal funds from the reconstruction fund from being used in any coal or gas projects. Get your facts straight.
