  3.  @jillywells1232  I didn't think so either, but in her actions she has endorsed her father's racist comments. All she had to say was yes my father was a racist and I wish to repair some of the damage and hurt he created by assisting indigenous problems and sponsorship of sport. But she didn't.

Instead she withdrew her money and implied she agrees with her father's statement. She has never publicly disassociated herself from her father's comments. You can't reasonably then expect an indigenous person to wear the name Hancock on their uniform.

So just a bit, but I do understand your point, and I acknowledge she had significantly grown the company and I believe she is the wealthiest person in the country and yes her businesses are important to the country, I accept all that, and good luck to her I wish her no ill will. However she has now effectively endorsed her racist fathers comments and inherited her wealth. She had an exceptionally privileged life by chance that is not afforded to 99.99% of us.

  27.  @TheEverest72 I didn't say apologise, I said explain as it is partly her father's money and certainly his name. I'm not sure why you would expect insults, you just lack understanding and empathy. My grandparents as a result of the war would have nothing to do with Asians. They owned property and once sacked a property manager for showing one of thier properties to a young asian couple. I was very young at the time. My grandparents were very generous to me and as a child you can't but love them, but they were terribly racist.

  44.  @troycassidy6177  So my father wasn't but both his parents were shocking racists as I remember some of the conversations back in the 70s and yes of course that doesn't make me a racist nor does it make Gina a racist however her subsequent actions in not acknowledging her father's racist attitudes and publicity stating how abhorrent they were is an implied agreement.
