Why not cut Medicare, funding to private schools, public hospitals, aged pension, aged care funding, Centrelink payments, subsidies to fossil fuel industries, or stop funding public schools and public housing. No you just pick on the most vulnerable in our society.

@goodo4668 And of course Medicare, aged care, Centrelink payments, defence spending, public housing, in fact any public sector funding isn’t being rorted, your argument is illogical and incoherent. You should target all public spending for rorts, but no you choose to target the most vulnerable in our society, the physically and intellectually disabled. Loads of empathy there.

@goodo4668 Idiotic strawman. I specifically mentioned physically and intellectually disabled Australians as our most vulnerable. I at no stage did i mention indigenous Australians at all. "Least return on investment" how about caring and providing a reasonable standard of living to our most vulnerable citizens.

@gagamba9198 Media beat up. Australian Naval assets regularly patrol the South China Sea and conduct live fire exercises. That CCP naval taskforce was under surveillance the entire time it was cruising in our area. In typical CCP it failed to initiate safety warnings with sufficient time. No airline traffic was under threat as all the ships did was chuck a floating ballon in the water and shoot at it with its gun. You need to have a understanding of naval tactics, and the multiple assets that were used that were not covered in the media beat-up that was designed to embarrass the government.
