@polarbear7255 The list of safety breaches at Lucas's Heights is common public knowledge. Some have already been listed by others. The original statement was clearly false and ignorant.

@Martinoconnor-du6lc No, we live in a democracy that has checks and balances, the will of the people must be respected. However, the point i was making is blindingly obvious. Dutton ran a totally negative campaign against the voice and now whines because he is getting it back at him. Well, surprise, surprise.

@polarbear7255 I didn’t suggest otherwise. Once again the original statement was false. There have been numerous safety incidents at the Lucas Heights facility going back years. The ANSTO website itself mentions them. I certainly never implied nuclear power was unsafe and compared to the deaths caused by burning coal incredibly safe. All you have done is throw out a nonsensical a strawman fallacy. I would venture to say pretty much all construction and maintenance carries a risk of injury or death. My understanding is that construction and manufacturing account for the largest % of workplace deaths. So what?
