No it doesn’t. It explicitly says the parliament will. WTF are you reading and where are you getting you information from?

@actualfacts1055 You don’t really under language do you. Once again point out exactly what part of the purposed constitutional amendments wording you think is ambiguous.

@actualfacts1055 Right so we have factually established there is no ambiguity in the wording at all as you didn’t establish this at all with any evidence whatsoever. You have quite legitimately argued for a legislatively based voice and I totally agree with you this is a viable alternative. It is just that it has been rejected by indigenous people themselves.

@actualfacts1055 No it has been rejected by indigenous people in numerous debates and consultations. I’m certainly not suggesting the voice has universal appeal, or there are not elements of the indigenous community who would be happy with a legislated voice. Like it or not a constitutionally recognised voice has majority support within the indigenous community. Their own polling proves this beyond reasonable doubt.

@actualfacts1055 polling by Reconciliation Australia has support for a Constitutionally enshrined voice at 87% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders.

I will point out that Newspoll who conducted this survey got the results for the NSW election almost perfect in its pre election polling. You would have to provide some evidence Newspoll has falsely manipulated its polling on a voice before anyway took you comment seriously.
