@Design_no The number you quote is from a 2014 productivity commission report and has been fully debunked. The 30 odd billion number included proportional spending on defence, foreign aid, industry subsidies, public housing, public education, Medicare, public hospitals, and social welfare payments. All things that all Australians have access to and use. The NIAA which was set up and funded by the LNP when in government has an annual budget of approximately $100 million. That is the figure you should quote when complaining about indigenous funding.

@Design_no So from 35 billion to 5.7 billion in less than an hour. Once again cite your source. My reference is simple, the 22/23 Federal budget papers clearly state the NIAA budget. I assume your source is from somewhere in your upper digestive system. You are just a crack up. Do you perform at a comedy club because you are hysterically funny.

@Design_no 5.7 billion. OMG you couldn’t even get that right. 5.7 billion was the funding for the IAS and is spread over 4 years or 1.4 billion annually. So from 35 billion we are down to 1.4 billion. 1.4 billion is .21% of the Federal budget and the indigenous population is approximately 3% so WTF are you on about because I’m using your data. I need a response please it’s been 23 seconds.

@Design_no No I didn't say that, all I was doing was proving beyond doubt your figure was demonstratively wrong. As explained previously $1.4 billion spent annually on indigenous people works out at about 0.21% of the Federal budget and considering the indigenous population is about 3% of the total population, not enough money is being spent. I'm just going off the data you provided.

Exactly why an indigenous voice is required.

@Sonnabend00 No. They have various lobby groups in and to the executive, however you are factually wrong. The indigenous community do not have constitutional recognition. This is what a voice provides.
