  7. @smokvicaberber8361  Yes. It is my understanding that the US produces hundreds of thousands of tonnes of Aluminium from several smelters yearly. Happy to be fact checked.

  8.  @smokvicaberber8361  Smelter is the process of making Aluminium. Look up the Oxford dictionary meaning. Up until very recently Australia had a free trade agreement with the US. The US has reneged on that agreement. Australia exports aluminium and steel into the US mostly in the form of Colourbond roofing. When the US placed sanctions on Russia after their invasion of Ukraine there was a shortfall for roofing in the Californian construction industry and Australian aluminium helped fill a small % of that demand. Australia imports a whole range of US manufactured goods. You name it and we import it.
