1. Any basic understanding of the NEM clearly shows there is no lack of capacity in system. Peak capacity far outweighs peak demand. A 2min read of the NEM website would reveal this to you. 2. @hc3657 NSW and Victoria don’t allow fracking for environmental concerns, the NT the same but I think they have reversed that decision. Gas supply has been secured federally exactly the same way as the WA government did. The Turnbull government did this. The current situation has got absolutely nothing to do with gas companies unable to explore in NSW and Victoria. The transition to renewables is a process still underway and had been sidelined by 9 years of LNP indecision. Battery technology and storage technology is rapidly advancing.
