  1. Australian beef is leaner ,tastier, cleaner, and cheaper than US beef. It is mostly grass fed and finished on grain. Our Wagyu is now better than Japanese Wagyu.

  6.  @Tijuanabill  Technically speaking yes you probably are, however the discussion encompassed, cleanliness, types of fed products, and others. I personally only eat Australian beef as that’s what’s available. I can tell the difference by looking at beef if it is grain fed or pasture fed. I have eaten Wagyu that is finished on chocolate biscuits, and yes depending on the cut and preparation of beef it mostly definitely tastes. You can definitely taste the difference between pasture fed and grain fed beef.

  9. ​@Tijuanabill No seriously, at Maruyra station in SA the Wagyu is finished on chocolate biscuits. The chef (Josh Niland) who prepared our meal explained his visit to the cattle station.

  11. @nickhaa So average beef prices for a steak of equivalent quality is about $9 US a pound which is about $20 AUS per kilo.
