Comments by "" (@pwillis1589) on "Australians to lose ‘the game’ on NDIS funding review with a Labor government" video.
@joanshaw1173 Spot on, no support worker sleeps in supported accommodation with a severely disabled person or a mildly disabled person with epilepsy.

Speaking from personal experience the NDIS has been an absolute 100% success in caring for my disabled daughter. Her life has considerably improved.

Then you are complicit in a crime. If you know fraud is being committed it is your responsibility to report it to the authorities. You are either a liar or a criminal, which is it?
1
@nathanobrien6875 Yes, I won't tolerate criminal behaviour and you obviously do. Your comments are nonsensical garbage.
1
@TheAazah That's how you control the system, by reporting criminal activity when you encounter it. The original creator of this commentary was either making shit up or being disingenuous.

Your comment is nonsensical idiocy. Labor created the NDIS and the support it provides you, when the Gillard government legislated it. You are either lieing or haven’t got a clue about what you are commenting on.

@judyboast4020 You are just factually wrong. The NDIS was legislated in 2013 under a Gillard Labor government. The Libs would never even of thought of introducing such reforms. I have no idea why you would spread such obvious misinformation. My daughter, who is 42 and intellectually disabled has a package and it is perfectly suited to her needs. I actually do know what I am talking about.
1
@judyboast4020 OK so you accept you were factually wrong on who created and legislated the NDIS. Good. On the question of sufficient funding, the cost blowouts were created under mismanagement during the LNP years of government. Labor now has the difficult task of cleaning up the Libs mess, so you are correct in this comment. In future you won’t have to be fact-checked if you speak the truth.
1
@judyboast4020 So you expect the current Labor government to fix 9 years of NDIS neglect by the LNP in 18 months. Just another nonsensical comment lacking any understanding of how government policies work. Why hasn't Labor restored peace in the middle east or solved the war in Ukraine. Then there is cancer why hasn't Labor cured cancer?

Any large social program will have some criminals willing to abuse the system. This happens in private enterprise as well as public sector. Defence gets scammed all the time. By your logic we should stop defence spending. People abuse Newstart allowance, are you suggesting genuine people who are unemployed for a month or two shouldn’t get benefits because someone else is cheating the system? Because AMP committed fraud, do we close all insurance companies?

@Alexdee96 And how much do you think a support worker, who has to administer medication, physically wash and clean, dress and toilet, feed and exercise, severely disabled people. Transport them to and from various medical and social activities. How much should someone be payed to do this 24 hours a day. How much should a support worker get payed to attend to the cleaning and redressing of bed linen and clothing after an epileptic seizure of their client at 300am in the morning?
1
@infoanalysistconspiracyrealist By BS you mean taking care 24 seven of disabled people. Character revealing if not honest. Thankfully, there are people willing to do the work.
1
@infoanalysistconspiracyrealist And it didn’t take long for the RWNJ conspiracy theorist to pop out either.

Fact check: just go to the website that clearly states the hourly rate for permanent and casual support workers. This rate varies significantly depending on the care required. Also some of you are confusing the worker pay rates with the price that a provider charges which will have either a profit/admin charge depending on whether it is a non for profit or profit making organisation.

@thefleecer3673 The NDIS was not designed to take care of health issues. That is what the public hospital and Medicare is for. The NDIS is for people with a disability.
