The Labor party are to a certain extent beholden to the unions, this is no secret as the Labor party was formed from the union movement. The National party proudly boast of their affiliations to the rural farmers, and of course the Liberal party are closely aligned with numerous business groups. Subject to certain control measures why should any person be denied a job after leaving parliament. I have a trust fund for my daughter, why should a politician be denied something that is available to any Australian citizen? Seems to me you are commenting out of of envy or jealousy.
