What a totally ridiculous comment. To blame a government that changed only a fortnight ago for the current economic situation is just plain stupid. In fact it is more than that it is wilfully stupid.

@proudaussie3522 I personally have no issue with nuclear power. Western designs are safe and reliable and waste can be managed, but it is a myth that it will be cheap. Nuclear power is very expensive.

@proudaussie3522 I have no problem with big nuc or SMR, however there are significant regulatory costs that come with nuc power to maintain safety and prevent weapon proliferation

@proudaussie3522 I sure we can. My concern about safety and weapon proliferation is not meant as a deal breaker just something people need to be aware of. In the US nuclear gets state and federal subsidies to offset the costs and I'm sure we can do the same here.
