  1. How do you know a RAN submarine wasn’t surveilling this task group? It most certainly wouldn’t show its hand and neither would the Australian government. Both HMAS Stuart and Warramunga are located in the South Tasman and Southern oceans. Don’t discount the distinct possibility of a US SSN lurking around as well. The RAAF have a wide range of surveillance assets as well. So basically what I’m saying is your comment is considerably uninformed.

  2. @ No that’s exactly what the Chinese would want. They would be monitoring exactly what our response is. It’s cat and mouse and the last thing we should do is show our hand. It would also be a waste of resources in a show of my dick is bigger than your dick game of idiotic one upmanship. Our ADF is far cleverer than that.
