Us oil companies are currently exporting oil and gas.

There were absolutely no concentration camps in Australia, and your suggestion there was is just plain stupid.

Are you serious? That’s your understanding of why coal powered plants have reduced capacity. 80% of our power is still coal and gas. The price of renewables hasn’t gone anywhere it is fossil fuel generation manipulating the market to gain tax payer subsidies. This is common public knowledge.
1
@trentspackman3597 currently 80% of our power is from fossil fuels WTF are even talking about

So to all the numbnuts who simply haven’t a clue, as the price for coal and gas went up fossil fuel power producers starting winding down their capacity because they know once the AMEO tells them to produce at a price they are losing money the taxpayer compensates them. When the AMEO fixed the wholesale price this accelerated coal powered producers to do this. This has nothing to do with international conspiracies or climate change or renewables it is just private industry manipulating the system to make a buck.

@stephenmanuel1120 The US was for a long time dependant on Saudi oil. Under the Obama administration it became independent and remains so today. I have no idea where you are getting your information from but you are completely wrong.
1
@stephenmanuel1120 And you still are.
1
@stephenmanuel1120 In April of 2022 US crude and petroleum products surged to weekly record of 10.6 million barrels (ref: US Energy Information Administration). US exports also out weighed its imports by the most ever in data going back to 1990. Sending links and telling me I'm incorrect is senseless. Provide your data or simply accept you are wrong.
1
@Labor Shill A complete misrepresentation of the economic situation which neglected to mention a US recession in the middle of 2020, finished with an ad hominem attack rendering your entire reply a nonsensical illogical argument.
1
US oil production rose by 3% in the March quarter. It still is behind its Jan 19 peak, however the US had a recession in 2020.
1
@dknowles60 Yeah Jan 2019 was under Trump WTF are you on about.
1
@dknowles60 what a senseless argument. So oil data under Trump was accurate but under Biden it isn't. Standard conspiracy theory. Do you have anything of substance to add?
