@rogermckinnon5738 Yes that is the average. Depending on the size some smaller PWRs have taken only 60 months but some PWRs have taken 250 months.

@rogermckinnon5738 The average construction time for a wind turbine is 8 to 14 months with solar farms significantly quicker. China added more solar last year than the rest of the entire world.

@tombradshaw5164 You do understand that the entire reason for moving to renewables is to reduce emissions (mostly CO2, but other greenhouse gases as well) to net zero. This is because the overwhelming scientific data clearly indicates a warming of the atmosphere and oceans. I understand you may not agree with this and you are perfectly free to publish a scientific paper, have it peer reviewed and win a Nobel prize for science by proving everyone wrong. The world awaits your amazing discovery.
