@bruiser6479 Once again it is illegal to obtain a benefit by means of fraud. There is a well established legal precedent, genealogy, identification, and acceptance. All three are required to gain a financial benefit. Yes in some cases this maybe being abused. In which case it should be reported to the authorities and action taken. I’m not suggesting this in this case but many groups who wish to denigrate indigenous culture use this argument of they aren’t Aboriginal enough for whatever reason ie don’t look like it, don’t act like it, are to educated, live in the city, the list is endless. You seen to immediately think the worst, that a voice would be open to corruption. Firstly it has been designed from the bottom up so remote area representatives feed into regional representative and finally a national advisory body. Are you suggesting that non aboriginals would deliberately infiltrate the voice to do what? improve indigenous outcomes. Aboriginality is a culture it is not a race. There is only one human species. There is no aboriginal genome.

That may be true is this particular circumstance, however you need to prove genealogy, identity, and acceptance to be accepted into indigenous culture.
