Completely false. Since 1960 when Australia's fertility rate was at its highest 3.5 the top and average tax rates have both lower now. I have no idea what a strong family is other than it must be your biased subjective opinion. The fertility rate started to drop in the 60s for no other reason than women took control of their bodies with the introduction of the contraception pill. Even more is the ludicrous suggestion parents had a choice, this suggestion is bordering on outright disingenuous comment as in 1960 the parent who stayed at home was the woman/mother. Once again income tax was significantly higher in 1960 than now, a further falsehood. Parental leave is open to both parents to suggest women in European countries are missing out on employment opportunities would require some independent data to be remotely believable.

@dorianshadesofgray yep, agree with those points, I was responding to Annie's ridiculous points about fertility rates. It is obvious from the worldwide independent data that with the introduction of the contraceptive pill in the early sixties along with increased education rates for women and girls that once they had the power to control their bodies they immediately did so. In 1959 the average woman worldwide was having 5 kids that is down now to just 2.3 approximately, in Australia it is 1.5. As soon as it hits 2.1 which by all studies it will do in the next 40 years world population starts going backwards. It is virtually inevitable.

@johnnypham2850 Firstly I have no idea what you mean by a family unit other than it is obviously your bigoted hate filled biased opinion. Secondly what sort of hate filled violent language is “contractual obligation” human beings don’t own each other, unless of course you are some sort of christian fundamentalist who believes the bible is infallible and slavery is OK, in which case your comment makes perfect sense.
