How the F$&K did he get recommended and receive three separate bravery awards. Who was responsible for those recommendations and the approval.

@lucasroe2878 Well I would suggest to you as per my original comment that those acts are now certainly under question. Did they actually even happen?

@ian7033-qj9wg No that’s not entirely true. If you have read some of the personal stories of VC recipients and other bravery awards quite a few of them were shit scared but performed literally heroic acts under fear of death, but yes some are undoubtedly virtually sociopathic.

@ian7033-qj9wg And as explained that is true in some cases and not true in all. I completely believe your personal experience and cast no doubt on it, however your anecdotal evidence is fallacious in argumentation. I have meet two VC recipients and had conversations with them. I was a part to Reg Rattey's honour guard at his funeral and meet and spoke with his family. Your experience which I again do not disparage is not universal.

Also I would recommend "Humanity a moral history of the twentieth century" by Jonathan Glover, it freaks my daughter in law out when I read it to my granddaughters as a bedtime story book, and "The human face of warfare" Dr M. Evans Dr A. Ryan. I did 35 years in the Army who were you with?
