While I agree a Luxury car tax make no sense at all now that we have no car manufacturing industry, the tax itself is applied evenly to all countries so in effect makes no difference to US car imports as they compete with Chinese and European car importers on a level playing field. It is literally no justification for raising a tariff on Australian imports into the US. I agree get rid of the LVT but it had absolutely nothing to do with the US applying a tariff to our exports to them.
